Executive Assistant
Cohort

Every great leader has a right-hand person that helps them to be successful. A great Executive Assistant is a gift that lightens the load of their leader. A poor Executive Assistant is yet another thing for a leader to manage on their already overloaded plate. The difference is often a simple matter of training.

You’re invited to a unique training experience, designed specifically for Executive Assistants.

. . . . . . . . . .

The Executive Assistant Cohort is a virtual learning community hosted by Jesse Andersen, the former Chief of Staff at Church on the Move in Tulsa, OK. It has been specifically designed for Executive Assistants serving a senior pastor or executive pastor at a church.

This is a 10-week journey, packed with actionable training to help you to be a more efficient and effective assistant. We’re going to be discussing 5 shifts you need to make to take your assistant game to the next level, and covering topics like how to help you to increase your level of ownership, improve your communication effectiveness, and live with more margin in your life.

. . . . . . . . . .

After the cohort, over 90% of attendees said:

  • I feel more confident in leading up and serving my leader with an ownership mentality

  • I feel more equipped to anticipate my leader’s needs and serve them effectively

  • I’ve learned to communicate more effectively

  • I’m able to manage my time better and be more efficient

Each training session will happen on Zoom and will include live Q&A so you get personalized answers to your specific context. Plus, you’ll be added to an exclusive community hub which will serve as an ongoing peer-to-peer connection point for you to glean from others.

. . . . . . . . . .

Our goal is to help Executive Assistants:

  • Increase their efficiency and productivity

  • Decrease miscommunications and misunderstandings

  • More effectively anticipate the needs of their leader

  • Establish a network of peers for ongoing development

  • Roll with the pace and the punches of executive leadership so that their leader feels organized and calm

Testimonials

  • “I wish I would have had this cohort 15 years ago! It would have saved me many growing pains as I learned my role as an EA. Jesse has been able to take everything I would want to share with other EA’s and create a fun, engaging, and productive way to teach it. I highly recommend this cohort to both those starting out as an EA and those with many years under their belt. This experience has refreshed my “why’s” and given me more “how’s”.”

    — Brittany Horne

  • "I truly wish this was available years ago when I started my career, but I am grateful for the community of EA’s across the U.S. and for the vast knowledge and resources shared. This was a holistic cohort – shining light into all areas for a healthy functioning EA. I feel more confident in my skills – especially as we are in the middle of a transition in leadership. This is something I will keep revisiting."

    — Ida Strok

  • "I am so thankful to have been a part of this EA Cohort. It filled my cup each week. From start to finish, it has been nothing short of exceptional. The course curriculum was carefully curated to cover a wide range of topics. Jesse has a wealth of knowledge and is very relatable, making learning a joy. I cannot recommend this training highly enough. Whether you are new to the field or a seasoned professional, this training will elevate your skills and empower you to thrive right where you are."

    — Gizelle Failla

  • "This class was exactly what I was looking for as I began to dig into EA research. I wanted to hear from other EAs who were supporting pastors, not CEOs. It was so specific to the line of work that I'm in, that I could ask very specific questions and address very specific problems in my world of EA ministry that not many understand. It helped me feel heard, valued, and understood, but also gave me practical tools and advice to help me move through whatever situation I found myself in at that moment. Many of the tips and tools I was able to implement immediately and see fruit from that change."

    — Holly Knudson

  • "The EA Cohort strengthened my leadership and communication skills through weekly assignments and reading benefitting my everyday rhythms and processes. Jesse is a great facilitator and shares practical tools that I am still using today! Jesse is personable and communicates his material in an engaging way through online meetings every week. I added new friends across the country whom I’ve kept in contact with for resources and community. Take this course as a beginner or veteran EA and I promise you will learn something to make your EA life more efficient!"

    — Tessa Young

If you are interested in bettering yourself and becoming a better Executive Assistant, this cohort is for you!"

“What can I say about Jesse? If you’re looking for someone to help you take some serious ground as an organization, Jesse is your guy. He’s passionate, tenacious, and always willing to dive into any challenge that’s set before him. Some of my favorite ministry memories came while working alongside Jesse. We accomplished A LOT together in our years at COTM because he made me (and all of us) more effective than I could ever have been on my own. I highly recommend him!”
